Unscientific Scientist From Sunagakure - Chapter 160
“Yes, we’re heading to the F4 race,” they replied.
Yoru Uta glanced at their three-wheeled vehicle.
“Ha ha, you sure you’re going to compete with this?”
The two nodded.
Yoru Uta smirked, “Alright then, follow us. We’re heading to the racecourse too.”
Naruto and Sakura were delighted. “That’s great, thank you!”
Yoru Uta waved his hand, “Looking after competitors and spectators is the Fifth Division’s duty, so there is no need to thank me.”
“And next time, remember to follow those pillars for navigation,” Yoru Uta pointed to a pillar-shaped dune nearby.
Naruto was taken aback. “That’s a pillar? I thought it was just a dune.”
Sakura punched him lightly. “Drive.”
Yoru Uta turned to his team. “Captain, are you taking them to the competition? Their vehicle doesn’t stand a chance.”
Yoru Uta just smiled, “Let them try if they want. They’ll realize the gap soon enough when they can’t finish the race.”
A three-wheeler competing against modified race cars was simply ridiculous.
Naruto and Sakura followed Yoru Uta’s vehicle towards the racecourse.
The Sand Village had even built a semi-open stadium for spectators and referees for the race.
Each race attracted seven to eight thousand spectators, especially the F4 level races, which were always packed.
Today was no exception.
The crowd was already seated, eagerly waiting for the race to start.
Twenty competitors’ vehicles were lined up, waiting for Fifth Division Captain Yoru Uta to announce the start.
When Yoru Uta’s rugged vehicle appeared, the crowd cheered.
He drove into the center of the arena, grabbed a microphone, and the loudspeakers boomed.
“Ladies and gentlemen, the race will start in five minutes.”
“Before that, let me repeat the rules once again.”
“There are no rules in the F4 race except that you cannot kill your opponent.”
“The only rule is that after ten laps, the driver and the car must cross the finish line intact.”
These were clichés.
The crowd jeered, “Start already!”
“Let’s begin!”
Yoru Uta: “Hold on. We have one more competitor today, so let me register him first.”
He stepped down to register Naruto.
The entire crowd saw Naruto driving a three-wheeler to compete.
“Ha ha ha,” the stadium erupted in laughter.
Someone competing in a three-wheeler was simply hilarious.
Naruto and Sakura, seeing the other competitors’ high-tech, futuristic vehicles, felt immense pressure.
Everyone else was using shuttle racers, with multiple engines pulling the cockpit like horses pulling a chariot, differing only in the number and design of engines.
Most importantly, none of them had wheels.
Sasuke stood atop a dual-engine black and red shuttle racer.
He looked coldly towards Naruto and Sakura.
“Naruto, don’t waste your effort.”
“You won’t win.”
Naruto, of course, refused to give in.
“Shi-si-gi, I will beat you.”
Karin cheered for Sasuke from the stands.
“Go, Sasuke!”
“Sasuke for the win!”
Many of Sasuke’s fans also chanted.
“Sasuke is number one.”
“Sasuke is number one.”
Yoru Uta came over to register.
“You’re both racing?”
“That will slow you down.”
Naruto: “Sakura, you wait for me in the stands.”
Sakura: “Naruto, do your best.”
Naruto nodded. “Even if I have to use a three-wheeler, I’ll catch up to Sasuke.”
Yoru Uta completed the registration.
He looked at the form. “Oh, ninjas from Konoha, I see. Well, give it your best shot.”
“Losing is no big deal; just think of it as an experience.”
Naruto waved his fist. “I will win.”
Yoru Uta smiled slightly.
He returned to his vehicle.
“Let the race officially begin.”
The big screen started the countdown.
…
Buzz, buzz.
The shuttle racers, already hovering in the air, were ready.
When the timer hit zero,
Whoosh, whoosh.
Woo, woo.
Engines roared.
The cockpits shot out like flying swords.
Naruto hadn’t started yet.
The sand kicked up by the shuttle racers filled his mouth.
In a blink.
Only his three-wheeler was left at the starting point.
Ha ha ha.
Ha ha ha.
Laughter rang out from the stands.
This was too funny.
Among the mocking sounds,
Sakura shouted with all her might.
“Naruto, go for it!”
“Naruto, you can do it!”
Naruto started his three-wheeler and pushed forward with all his might.
Yoru Uta picked up the communicator.
“Prepare all observation posts and rescue stations along the route.”
“The competitors have started.”
“Received.”
“Received.”
The Fifth Division members deployed drones along the track to monitor the race.
The drone footage was also broadcast back to the big screen at the racecourse.
All spectators could watch the live broadcast of the race.
The shuttle racers, designed for extreme speed, were not for the faint-hearted.
Naruto saw two racers who couldn’t avoid each other on the screen and collided.
With a bang,
The vehicles tangled together.
They flipped and crashed into the sandy ground.
It then exploded.
Naruto: That’s dangerous!
