Unscientific Scientist From Sunagakure - Chapter 172
Muzake himself was caught up in the process, though his extraordinary mental strength protected him from being affected by Sasuke’s river of grief. As he metaphorically floated in this river, he suddenly remembered something Orochimaru had said:
“Differences don’t matter, what matters is the commonality.”
“The flow is irrelevant; it’s the riverbed that counts.”
Muzake had an epiphany.
What would happen if he attempted to emulate the Uchiha clan’s evolution and manipulate his chakra and mental energy in the same way?
Sasuke’s river of grief was swift.
Muzake had no time to ponder further; he closed his eyes and began to circulate his chakra as he felt through his senses, integrating it into his psyche.
Something strange happened.
The air in the brainwave enhancement room began to rhythmically vibrate.
Above Muzake’s head, bolts of electricity started to flash out of the void.
Crackle and pop.
Electricity formed from the void.
The sparks increased.
Becoming more dense.
Forming a spherical shape.
The electrical sparks moved continuously around the periphery of the sphere.
The sphere pulsed rhythmically, like a heart.
Sasuke woke up.
The influence of Muzake’s brainwaves on him had ended.
Muzake was now fully immersed in his own endeavor.
But his goal had also been achieved.
Sasuke touched his eye sockets.
He looked at his reflection in the metallic wall.
The pattern of his Sharingan had changed.
Three ellipses intertwined, resembling a blooming flower.
At this moment, he knew he had acquired the Mangekyo Sharingan.
Sasuke was excited.
But he didn’t dare to interrupt.
The Lord Muzake opposite him.
Eyes tightly closed.
Brows furrowed.
The cluster of white electricity above his head.
All indicated that Lord Muzake was undertaking something significant.
Sasuke concentrated and held his breath, daring not to make a sound.
After a long time.
The electricity finally stopped flickering.
Muzake also opened his eyes.
He looked exhausted.
He sighed deeply.
“Creation is truly not an easy task.”
Then he looked up at the cluster of white light.
He gestured with his hand.
The light came to rest in his palm.
“Sasuke, can you see what’s inside?”
Sasuke, using the Mangekyo Sharingan, reputed to see through all three realms, stared intently but saw nothing.
He shook his head.
“There’s nothing inside.”
Muzake chuckled.
“Ha, she’s still in gestation; you can’t feel her yet.”
“Maybe she doesn’t want you to see her yet.”
Her?
Sasuke was startled.
“Who is inside?”
Muzake thought for a moment, then decided to use her true name.
“Altair.”
Also known as the Saber Princess.
Inside the orb.
The figure of Altair was faintly visible.
Like a transparent drawing.
She had silver, long, straight twin ponytails.
Dressed in a dark navy cavalry hat,
A Spanish-style double coat,
Knee socks and thick high heels.
A saber floated by her feet.
Her eyes were closed.
Her expression was solemn.
She was still in gestation.
To fully bring her to life in one go,
Muzake’s current mental energy and chakra were insufficient.
He would need to continue transferring energy gradually.
Waiting for her to be born.
As for why Muzake created the Saber Princess.
He thought it might boil down to two reasons.
One was the ability of the Sharingan.
The Sharingan, upon scrutiny, is a type of Yin-Yang Release, specifically a Yin Release ability.
Yin-Yang Release is a technique that creates form from the formless (Yin Release) and infuses life into forms (Yang Release), a “technique that materializes imagination.” After the Sage of Six Paths, the power of Yin Release was deeply inherited by the Uchiha clan, while the power of Yang Release continued deeply with the Senju clan.
Like the Sharingan creating form from the formless, the epitome of creating something from nothing is Susano’o.
Susano’o doesn’t truly exist.
Each Susano’o originates from the formless.
Muzake, following the evolutionary trajectory of the Sharingan, felt that inspiration to create form from the formless.
Thus, he also learned to create form from the formless.
This form, or this unknown life, is the Saber Princess.
Why the Saber Princess?
That’s the second reason.
Saber Princess: “To bring change to our world, to enforce judgment in the land of the gods.”
Perhaps it was because she sensed her own need to bring revolution to the ninja world that she was thus conceived?
(Author’s note: Actually, it’s you, don’t just randomly stuff things into your DNA.)
Muzake looked at the still-gestating Saber Princess.
With a paternal smile.
This could be considered,
His daughter, perhaps.
My princess.
He truly looked forward to the day of her birth.
He should provide her with more nourishment.
Sasuke saw Muzake laughing at the empty orb of light in his hand.
The Lord wasn’t going mad from helping me upgrade, was he?
“Cough, cough.”
Sasuke coughed twice.
Muzake snapped back to reality.
He gently pushed.
The Saber Princess floated to the center of the room, quietly suspended.
The orb flickered, drawing energy from the void.
Muzake looked at Sasuke.
He saw Sasuke’s Mangekyo Sharingan.
“Ha ha, congratulations.”
“You’ve successfully upgraded.”
Sasuke: “Thank you, my lord.”
Muzake felt very satisfied.
His experiment had succeeded.
Sadly, that inspiration to create form from the formless could never be found again.
It was like those occasional flashes of inspiration.
That moment felt especially clear and accurate.
And then,
In an instant, it could no longer be recalled.
Later, when helping someone else awaken, try it.
But I’m not good at writing scripts.
