Vongola Primo in One Piece - Chapter 349
“How are you feeling, Primo?”
Spade turned his head, looking at Giotto. “Even though your Hyper Intuition can almost completely negate illusions when you’re at the peak of your Dying Will Flame, you’re not at that level right now, are you? Besides, I don’t intend to confuse you with illusions. I just want to slightly reduce that terrifying perception of yours. Can you still fight as effortlessly as before?”
Hearing this, Giotto frowned. The illusion was indeed affecting his senses. In this environment, his Observation Haki was almost completely suppressed, and even his Hyper Intuition couldn’t reach the same level as before. Having an opponent like Spade, who knows him so well and can fight specifically against him, was quite troublesome.
But a little trouble was nothing!
“Rankyaku!”
At that moment, Gaki’s eyes widened suddenly, and he unleashed a Rankyaku, one of the Six Powers, sending a crescent-shaped air blade hurtling toward Giotto.
Spade swung his scythe as the sharp edge burst forth, releasing a slash intertwined with Mist Flames. His power at this moment was indeed stronger than before, with Armament Haki also wrapped around the flames.
Simultaneously, in the darkness created by the illusion, an orange light flashed out with lightning speed, perfectly intercepting both attacks!
“Boom!”
Three forces clashed at the instant of collision, resulting in an earth-shattering explosion.
However, none of the parties stopped. The three figures continued their exchange. Giotto’s attacks became increasingly fierce, mainly targeting Gaki, while Spade found it easier, since Giotto couldn’t bring himself to go all out against Spade. The mission required them to be alive; to kill Spade, Giotto would have to sacrifice himself too.
Noticing Giotto’s actions, a strange light flashed in Spade’s eyes. He was slightly hesitant but quickly became determined again. He had to change the Vongola Family into what he desired – strong and powerful, like it was during the time of the Second Vongola, ruling the world with an iron fist!
It should not be like this under Primo’s leadership… absolutely not.
“Primo still can’t bring himself to kill D. Spade?” Ellia whispered, watching the clashing figures in the sky from Seiken Island.
She could understand Primo’s reluctance. As the leader of the Vongola Family, he couldn’t bring himself to kill his own guardian. But a moment of mercy could lead to an unbearable outcome in such a battle.
If Giotto knew of Ellia’s so-called understanding, he would be exasperated. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to go all out, but he genuinely couldn’t!
He would immediately gather all guardians to take down Spade if he could change the system.
“We can only hope G or Lampo can quickly finish their opponents!” Robin’s face was serious. Though she didn’t understand the bond between a guardian and a leader, they could only rely on G and Lampo in this situation.
Comparatively, G’s battle seemed easier to conclude.
The strength of Tengu wasn’t as formidable as Big Mom’s. Naturally, Tengu didn’t have her terrifying physical endurance. With G’s strength, he could finish the battle in a short time. However, the clever Tengu had been delaying rather than attacking G, hoping to outlast him.
Tengu knew he had little chance of defeating Vongola’s Storm Guardian, so delaying until the other battles concluded was his best option.
Lampo’s side was more troublesome. Big Mom, once enraged, showed no sign of stopping. Besides dealing with her, Lampo had to contend with numerous interfering subordinates. Though his lightning was powerful, Big Mom’s defense was monstrous, and several hits hadn’t significantly harmed her.
If G didn’t have to maintain the protective shield initially, he should have been the one to deal with this iron balloon. The decomposing trait of Storm Flames would be more advantageous against Big Mom.
Alternatively, Asari Ugetsu could suppress her with his swordsman skills and the tranquilizing effect of Rain Flames, not necessarily defeating her but allowing them to retreat.
But it was Lampo who had to face her. Despite his strong lightning attacks, they barely affected Big Mom, and his defense wasn’t an issue either. Their battle became a stalemate, with neither side able to harm the other significantly.
“Yo!”
Suddenly, a loud noise erupted as Giotto punched Gaki’s right shoulder, and the impact of the Sky Flame blasted Gaki back a hundred meters, shattering the bones in his right arm.
This heavy punch rendered Gaki’s right arm useless, drastically reducing his combat effectiveness. His Devil Fruit power is absorbed through his left hand and released through his right. With his right arm disabled, he couldn’t accurately aim his energy.
“Useless!”
At that moment, Jeno, who had rested for a while, stood up, walked to Gaki, and grabbed his right hand, placing it on his chest. “Use your power. I won’t say it again!”
Fear flickered in Gaki’s eyes, but he complied, activating his Devil Fruit power. A vortex appeared in his palm, and the next moment, Jeno’s injuries began to heal rapidly… or rather, transferred to Gaki!
Gaki’s body started showing severe injuries, skin splitting, and blood flowing down!
