Vongola Primo in One Piece - Chapter 352
“May friendship lasts forever…”
Each Guardian possessed a pocket watch with this phrase engraved inside, a testament to their friendship and common goal. In the beginning, Vongola Famly was full of caring and kind people, and Demon Spade was no exception. But everything changed after he lost Elena.
Cough, cough!
Giotto coughed up a bit of blood, and his injuries worsened due to the impact, but thankfully, Sky Qilin remained mostly unharmed. Its power mitigated the cold wave, but the impact of the attack itself couldn’t be fully mitigated.
With hardly any hesitation, Giotto took out his Box Weapon and de-summoned Sky Qilin before standing back up. His gaze remained fixed on Geno. Although the Sky Flame on his forehead was getting dimmer, his eyes was still brimming of determination.
“Saved by a pet, huh? But you won’t be so lucky next. Because your fate was already sealed when you made an enemy of the Five Elders. So…”
“So, put your hand down, understand?”
At this moment, G had pulled his bowstring. The fierce Storm Flame was concentrated into a spiraling arrow, and its power was increasing with each passing second. The arrow was aimed at Geno, ready to be released at any moment.
As for Tengu, he was incapacitated on the ground with a hole on his chest. While he was stillbreathing, he was no longer capable of fighting. He lost so quickly because he was desperate to stop G, which left so many openings in his defense.
Even though G already aimed his arrow at him, Geno still smirked and said, “Ah, that traitor Arnold hasn’t told you how CP0 operated, huh?”
“We’ll do whatever it takes to accomplish the missions from Five Elders!”
Geno immediately used Soru and rushed toward Giotto. He imbued his right hand with Color of Arms Haki and the cold from his Devil Fruit ability to eliminate Giotto. His top priority was to claim Vongola Primo’s life even if it meant being struck by G’s arrow.
Completing their missions was Cipher Pol’s highest priority.
“Damn it! Reach him!”
These words echoed through the air as Geno rushed toward Giotto, prepared to sacrifice even his own life to accomplish the task at hand.
Seeing Geno recklessly rushed toward Giotto despite the threat, G released the bowstring, and the Storm Flame arrow was unleashed! However, G didn’t really care even if this arrow managed to kill Geno. It wouldn’t matter if something happened to Giotto.
In addition to G, Aria and the others on Secon Island, who witnessed this battle, offered their own silent prayers, desperately hoping the arrow to reach Geno before something happened to Giotto.
As the Storm Flame arrow got closer to Geno, Geno also got closer to Giotto.
Despite the imminent threat, Giotto still had a faint smile on his face and showed no signs of fear. He had not given in to his fate. Giotto braced himself, raising one hand and focusing all the remaining Dying Will Flame he had into it, intending to withstand Geno’s attack.
“You’ve become even more stupid since last time, haven’t you? Do you really think you can withstand his attack in your current state? Don’t be foolish and stubborn!”
At this critical moment, G appeared before Giotto using his Flame of Night he was intercepted by Demon Spade, who suddenly appeared in front of Giotto. He swung his scythe that was enveloped in Flame of Night at Geno!
This sudden turn of events left many baffled, even G! Demon Spade was the one who orchestrated everything, and if Giotto died, his purpose should have been accomplished. Yet here he was, blocking Geno’s attack at the most critical moment.
“Demon Spade, what are you trying to do?”
As Demon Spade shielded Giotto, the Storm Flame arrow went past them, and Geno looked at Demon Spade with a puzzled expression, questioning his actions, “Don’t forget the Five Elders’ order! They can help you get to this point, but they can just as easily erase you!”
“I do what I want, I don’t have any obligation to explain myself to anyone, do I?” Demon Spade has never liked the Celestial Dragons, and in his opinion, those privileged but inept nobles were nothing but trash.
Following this, he handed the pocket watch over to Giotto and said, “Put your belongings and that foolish optimism of yours away already. It’s better if they remain tucked away.”
Giotto was taken aback as he caught the pocket watch. He had always carried it with him, but this was the first time he dropped it.
When G saw this scene, he couldn’t help but pull out his own pocket watch. He opened it and read the words engraved there, “May friendship last forever… You bastard!” The situation had taken a surprising turn, and the emotions of the characters involved were anything but predictable.
“Don’t get me wrong! I just don’t want this naive guy to die at someone else’s hands. Only I can kill him!” Demon Spade said to G with eyes full of rage.
There was no doubt that Demon Spade wanted to kill Giotto, but at the crucial moment earlier, he couldn’t control himself, as if his determination to eliminate Giotto had wavered.
“Mission complete, rewards: Flame of Night, Elena’s resurrection (usable at any time).”
At this moment, Giotto received the system notification. Even he felt a strange sensation.
Did Demon Spade stopping Geno count as completing the mission?
If only he had known that the pocket watch would be so effective, he wouldn’t have had to work so hard!
But then again, if it weren’t for this moment, Demon Spade probably wouldn’t have done what he did even if he saw the pocket watch.
It seemed as if everything was destined to happen. Giotto opened the pocket watch and read the words, “May friendship lasts forever.”
“Spade, if I told you Elena can come back to life, will you…”
“Huh?!”
Before Giotto could finish his sentence, Demon Spade suddenly lifted Giotto and stared at him with bloodshot eyes. He suddenly shouted angrily “Don’t think you can make fun of me just because I save you once! If you say one more word, I’ll kill you right now!”
