Vongola Primo in One Piece - Chapter 371
Time flew in such a festive and fun moment, and Secon Island celebrated for nine days and nights, which exceeded Vongola Family’s estimation. This prolonged celebration was mostly because of Shanks. If he hadn’t continued the party for several days after the wedding celebrations were over, the festivities wouldn’t have lasted this long.
After all, it was Shanks who threw this party, and the other guests had to show some courtesy. Moreover, Shanks was one of the Emperors of the Sea, and that alone was enough to intimidate many people. Even the Marines would think twice before causing trouble, especially with Vongola Family backing him up.
Even Giotto and Aria showed up out of courtesy for Shanks.
It wasn’t until the second day after the celebration had ended that Robin saw Giotto and said, “Boss, I intend to set sail to search for the scattered poneglyphs around the world and fulfill my lifelong goal. I believe that I can handle things myself, with my current abilities. I hope you can understand, especially since I’m from Ohara.”
Searching for poneglyphs was something Robin believed she had to do, and she raised the topic at this time partly because she needed a change of pace. Watching Giotto and Aria get married for the past few days left her somewhat irritated. But this annoyance was merely a fleeting feeling, and she genuinely wished happiness for her boss and Aria. And who said she no longer had the chance just because her boss got married?
“You can just ask Varia to search for poneglyphs, right? After all, it’s not that easy to find. Or, I can just ask Alaudi to help. You don’t need to go out on your own. The sea might seem peaceful now, but it’s not as peaceful as it looks, especially in the first half of Grand Line as it’s outside of Family’s influence.”
Giotto was genuinely concerned about this. He wouldn’t be as worried if this were some other Family members, given that Vongola Family’s reputation alone was more than enough to deter most people. However, Robin was different. She was from Ohara, and the only known person in the world capable of deciphering the poneglyphs. Her existence posed a potential threat to the World Government. If she left the New World, she would face greater threats than other Family members.
Even the Cipher Pol might set their eyes on her. In the original storyline, it was CP9 that pursued her, but now, Robin was Vongola Family External Advisor. So, CP9 might not rashly go after her. However, the same couldn’t be said to CP0.
“I believe this is something I must do myself. Moreover, with Aria-senpai handling the paperwork, I have more free time. As an External Advisor, I can act outside the family when necessary and be present when the family requires me, isn’t that the essence of my role?”
Robin knew full well her positions and responsibilities quite well. She was right; her role as an External Advisor meant that she could operate outside the Family when needed.
“If you’re going to search for poneglyphs, you must at least bring Kuina with you. With her current strength, she should be able to protect you. It just happens that Kuina plans to set sail and hone her swordsmanship. So, if you agree to bring you with her, I’ll let you search the poneglyphs. What do you think?”
After careful consideration, Giotto made this decision. Kuina had become pretty strong now that she could stand toe-to-toe against Vice Admirals like Momonga. Setting sail with her would significantly increase their safety, and in case any problem arose, they would be able to buy more time until rescue arrived. Besides, Kuina indeed had been thinking of setting out to sea recently to gain more combat experience and improve her swordsmanship.
However, Kuina wasn’t the only one who had such an idea recently. Sabo also planned to set out to sea, but he was a bit too young, so Giotto rejected his request. So, Sabo had to
The reason Sabo wanted to set out to sea was quite simple. He had read about a relatively new pirate crew in the newspaper, with his brother Ace, as the captain. Unfortunately, Ace was no longer known as the Fire Fist Ace anymore. In fact, he wasn’t a Devil Fruit user at all. He merely focused on honing his combat and swordsmanship skills.
Even without the Flame-Flame Fruit, Ace could still become quite powerful in the future.
“All right, it’s settled, boss. I’ll go to Ryusu Island to get Kuina, and then we’ll set sail together,” Robin agreed after giving it some thought. Going with Kuina would indeed be much safer, and she wouldn’t be as bored on the way. This trip wasn’t just about finding poneglyphs; it was also an opportunity to see the beauty of the ocean, relax, and…
When she returned, maybe she’d try to snatch Giotto from Aria?
