Vongola Primo in One Piece - Chapter 377
Marine Base, Marineford.
“What?! You’re saying that Vongola Primo has gone to the Sabaody Archipelago again?”
Sengoku’s yell echoed throughout the entire building. “What are you waiting for? Get all those World Nobles out of Sabaody Archipelago right now! If that guy runs into them, the sea that has finally been calm for a while will be in turmoil again!”
Although the Marines have recovered to some extent, overall, it wasn’t that much better. Although Momonga has filled the vacant Admiral position, he was nowhere as strong as Akainu, and the Marines’ power has been greatly diminished after they lost Z’s students. Moreover, the Five Elders had warned beforehand that the World Government has their own plan for Vongola Family, and the Marines were prohibited from attacking Vongola Family unless they were ordered to.
In other words, they couldn’t provoke the New World’s ruler, Giotto!
“What the hell is that Vongola Primo up to now? Why did he suddenly leave New World? Is he planning something? Or has Vongola Family amassed enough power and intends to challenge the Marines and the World Government on the open?”
Sengoku had a serious look on his face, pondering the reasons behind Giotto’s visit to Sabaody Archipelago. A person of his stature would not leave New World for no reason. Vongola Primo, Whitebeard, and Shanks definitely would draw the Marines’ attention whenever they left New World. Shanks was one thing as he only had one ship and they rarely stayed at the same place too long.
However, Whitebeard and Vongola Primo were different stories. They both had massive force, and they both were really strong. Therefore, the Marines made sure to find out what they were up to.
Despite being hailed as the Strongest Man in the World, Whitebeard lost to Vongola Primo, and as time went by, he was getting older, and no one could tell how much weaker he had gotten compared to in his prime.
But Giotto was different; he was still young, and in terms of age, he should be at his prime now. In these five years, he undoubtedly had gotten stronger.
“I think Giotto is probably just on vacation. Didn’t he get married recently? Taking his new bride on a honeymoon trip is perfectly normal,” Garp said while munching on snacks he scavenged from Sengoku’s office.
Unfortunately, this time Garp was right. Giotto and Aria were indeed on a honeymoon, and they didn’t plan anything, and whatever they did was completely unrelated to the Marines or the World Government…
“Stop joking around, Garp! Vongola Primo is the leader of a massive force. How could he leave New World for such a trivial matter?”
Sengoku was skeptical of Garp’s words. He could not imagine that someone like Vongola Primo would suddenly leave the New World for something as mundane as a honeymoon. Well, jokes on him, Garp was right.
“Do as you please. Anyway I got some criminals to arrest.” Garp said as he nonchalantly walked out of the office.
Sengoku was baffled by how diligent his old friend suddenly got.
Garp had his own concerns, too. Ace had become a pirate and was wandering around East Blue. It wouldn’t hurt to catch him and bring him home as soon as possible. Unlike Luffy, Ace was Roger’s son, and there were many people who were related to Roger out there, especially in New World.
Whitebeard and Roger were both rivals and friends. Giotto and Shanks, who used to be apprentices on Roger’s ship, were now prominent figures in New World.
If Ace came into contact with them, Garp feared that something bad might happen, so he was determined to bring Ace back home.
“Have Kuzan keep an eye on Vongola Primo in Sabaody Archipelago just in case. He’s more suitable for this kind of situation.” Sengoku made a decision after Garp left. Among the Three Admirals, Kuzan was the best choice to monitor the situation in Sabaody Archipelago as he was more level-headed and less likely to provoke Giotto unnecessarily.
However, Sengoku might be overthinking things. Giotto had no intention of stirring up trouble this time as long as no one bothered him. He and his wife were currently enjoying their time in Shakky’s Rip-off Bar, surrounded by bags and jewelry they bought in Sabaody Archipelago.
Since they were on their honeymoon, of course, they had to go shopping. After shopping in the morning, Giotto had to allocate about a third of his small ship to store all the things Aria bought.
“It’s amazing how time flies. It feels like Vongola Family was just established yesterday. Now, little Giotto is a married man,” Shakky said while resting her chin in her hand and giving Rayleigh a meaningful look. “Unlike a certain person, Giotto has the courage. I may never see that day.”
Rayleigh seemed to completely ignore her comment. He raised his glass and laughed at Giotto. “We didn’t get to drink much on your island as there were too many people back then. But today, we must drink to our heart’s content. Giotto, don’t worry, I’ll treat you today, so don’t hold back!”
Rayleigh paying…?
That probably meant he would have to sell himself as a slave again… And judging by how he ignored Shakky’s comments earlier, the bill for this evening’s drinks would be astronomical for sure!
