Vongola Primo in One Piece - Chapter 409
Moria quickly returned Brook’s shadow, and once he did, Giotto had no intention of staying here another second. He left the Florian Triangle with Brook and eventually dropped him off at Sabaody Archipelago. With his current appearance, he could stand in front of the Marines, and they wouldn’t recognize him as a wanted criminal. Besides, who would care about the bounty posters from decades ago?
New World, Wano Country.
A figure draped in a cloak moved through the woods and quickly slipped past the patrolling Vongola Family members. He effortlessly entered the Flower Capital and seemingly searched for something, though it wasn’t clear what he was looking for.
“Where is he hidden? According to the intel, after being frozen by Vongola Primo, that guy was taken away by Varia. Varia’s base is in Wano, so logically, that guy must be hidden somewhere in Wano. I’ve checked this whole island, and only the Shogun’s Castle in Flower Capital is left, but where is he hidden?”
The cloaked man couldn’t help but mutter to himself after searching for a while.
His purpose for coming here was to find Kaido, who had been defeated by Giotto many years ago.
Indeed, Kaido hadn’t been killed. After being frozen by Vongola Primo, all of his bodily functions had stopped, but he was technically still alive. If the ice that sealed him was broken, the once fearsome Kaido could be revived, and he would become a formidable force to keep Vongola Family. After all, in the past, Kaido had done quite a number on Vongola Family. Even though he was defeated in the end, his strength was undeniable.
Rescuing Kaido could certainly be a pleasant surprise for Vongola Family!
“I wonder if Em has found him. If I can’t find where that guy Kaido is hidden, I won’t be able to face Five Elders.”
The cloaked man expressed his annoyance. He initially thought this would be an easy mission, as he had chosen the perfect timing to enter Wano. Varia’s officers were all away, and according to the intel, only the leader Xanxus and Levi were present. Xanxus rarely left his room, so as long as he avoided his room, he should be fine.
He wasn’t concerned about Levi. Among Varia’s members, the only one he was wary of was Squalo and Fran. The rest were strong, but they were not stronger than him.
As a CP0 agent, he was confident in his abilities.
This time, in addition to him the guy he mentioned named Em earlier also participated in this mission. This showed how important this mission was. It was rare for two CP0 agents to be dispatched at the same time.
“Checking on a giant ice every three days is such a pain.”
“You should be careful with your words. This is an order from Lord Xanxus himself. We’ve done this for many years anyway, and we don’t have to check every day.”
“I know, I’m just complaining. Do you really think that giant ice can break out and run away? It’s been sealed by Primo for so long.”
“That’s true, but don’t underestimate that giant ice. After all, he was once a famous pirate back in the day.”
As two Vongola Family’s members conversed, they stopped in front of a dead end. The CP0 agent had previously searched this area but found nothing.
Giant Ice? Frozen by Primo? Who else would it be aside from Kaido?
However, the Varia Team member who had complained earlier walked up to the wall and tapped it three times in a specific spot. To the CP0 agent’s surprise, the wall opened, revealing a dimly lit passage.
“Damn, they hid it so well. No wonder I couldn’t find it earlier. But it makes sense. Kaido is incredibly powerful. Even though he’s been frozen by Vongola Primo, he still needs regular monitoring.”
Just as the CP0 agent was about to follow them, a bolt of lightning suddenly struck in front of him. Two sword-like umbrellas covered in Lightning Flame opened, completely surrounding him.
Soon, a deep voice sounded, “I thought it was just some petty thief sneaking in. I didn’t expect it to be someone looking for that ice block. Is there still a remnant of Beast Pirates out there? Well, it doesn’t matter. I happened to come out for a toilet break and ran into you, so I might as well deal with you!”
As the CP0 agent turned his head toward the source of the voice, he saw a middle-aged man wearing Varia attire.
“Varia’s Lightning Guardian, Levi?”
The CP0 agent immediately recognized Levi and said, “It seems luck is really not on my side today. I was just a few steps away from my objective, and you have to come here and seek your doom.”
One of Levi’s subordinates tried to interject, but Levi silenced them and said, “You two go inside and guard, I’ll handle this.”
Levi focused his attention on the man and said, “Well, at least tell me your name. It might help me remember who I killed. Of course, if you don’t want to say, that’s fine too. I’ve killed many small fries, and I can’t remember them all. My memory isn’t that great, after all.”
The CP0 grinned and said, “It seems you’re quite confident in your abilities. Well, so am I! To be honest, I could’ve cared less about everyone here except for that guy Xanxus. Killing you will be a piece of cake.”
With a sinister smile, the cloaked man exuded a terrifying aura. Since he was already exposed, he intended to score more credit by eliminating a Varia officer.
