Vongola Primo in One Piece - Chapter 411
After being struck by the light rings, Levi and the others immediately checked their bodies but found that they were completely unharmed. This puzzled them because an attack from the enemy couldn’t be meaningless. However, this attack seemed peculiar.
“Lord Levi!” Hyogoro shouted, but Levi paid him no attention this time and rushed toward Aex. At this moment, he turned to look around and realized that Kin’emon and the rest of Nine Red Scabbards were saying something, but he heard no sound whatsoever. Furthermore, the sounds of battle had disappeared, leaving an eerie silence.
Wait a minute. Was this what that guy meant by starting with their hearing? Did the light rings seal their sense of hearing?
The effect of these light rings seemed to have deprived them of their sense of hearing, which Levi had just realized.
“Who told you to look at me? Oh, right, you can’t hear me now, so let’s make it easier and make your eyes useless, too,” Em said as he waved his hand, sending several light rings directly toward Levi and the samurais.
This time, they didn’t try to block the light rings. Instead, they immediately dodged, but the light rings seemed to have a mind of their own, as they turned around and seeped into their bodies once more.
As the light rings entered with their bodies, they were plunged into darkness, unable to see anything. All of them felt as though they were isolated in a private space. They had lost their sight and hearing, and even their Color of Observation Haki had been severely weakened. After all, with two of their five senses being shut off, their Color of Observation was weakened significantly.
If they had Hyper Intuition, they wouldn’t be in this predicament. However, very few people within Vongola Family had such a power. Those individuals were born with Hyper Intuition, and it was impossible to obtain it through training.
“Aaah!”
At this moment where everyone was on edge, a sword pierced Kin’emon’s body. Despite the pain, he did not step back as he was a samurai. In the darkness where he couldn’t see or hear, Kin’emon suddenly showed immense willpower. He reached out and grabbed Em, and then thrust his katana at him.
Em just watched emotionlessly as the samurai grabbed him. At this point, only his colleague Aex could hear him
“Did pain awaken your willpower? Then let’s take away your sense of touch as well.”
As Em said this, another light ring seeped into Kin’emon’s body. This time, Kin’emon’s sense of touch also disappeared. He couldn’t even tell whether he had grabbed his opponent or whether his sword was still in his hand.
Everyone’s movement, including Levi’s, had become sluggish. It wasn’t that they were actually moving slowly, but they now had to rely on their weakened Color of Observation Haki to fight.
Being robbed of their sense of vision, hearing, and touch, they were essentially like lambs waiting to be slaughtered.
Just what kind of Devil Fruit allowed Em to do this?
“Em, what the hell are you doing?” Aex suddenly started yelling.
Aex didn’t yell for no reason. At this moment, Em suddenly spaced out even though they had a clear advantage! Instead of dodging Kin’emon’s attack, he didn’t move at all. Spacing out during battle was a serious problem. If something unexpected happened while Em spacing out, wouldn’t he basically give up the victory to the enemy?
Unfortunately, when Em was spacing out, it was not easy to snap him out of it, no matter how loud Aex shouted.
“I can’t stand this anymore. I’m going to release Kaido first…”
“Pew…”
As Aex was about to enter the secret room to free Kaido, a beam of light suddenly struck Em, sending him flying and smashing through the corridor wall. Nobody knew where he landed, but the effects of Em’s Devil Fruit power on Kin’emon and the others had not been lifted, meaning Em wasn’t dead yet.
As Aex turned his head, he saw a man with scarred face and dual pistols, and his expression turned extremely grim, “Varia Commander, Xanxus!”
He didn’t expect that this person had been alarmed. However, the battle was relatively quiet, especially compared to his fight with Levi earlier. So, how did Xanxus notice this?
“I’ve been tolerating your behaviour for so long, and it’s intriguing that you have the power to mess with one’s senses, but it seems like it’s just a pair of trash,” Xanxus coldly gazed at Aex. “You’ve come to my turf, trashed the place and even smashed the walls. It seems like you guys took me lightly, considering you’ve been quiet for the past few years.”
Hearing these words, Aex was baffled. He certainly infiltrated Varia’s territory, but the one who destroyed the walls was Xanxus himself. Why did he blame them for this mess?
“I have to admit that you’re strong. I initially didn’t intend to alarm you, but there’s one thing I hope you understand,” Aex took a deep breath, and his eyes were filled with killing intent. “It doesn’t mean I can’t kill you; I just hate doing something bothersome.”
