Vongola Primo in One Piece - Chapter 415
The once grand Shogunate Mansion had now turned into ruins. Other members of the Varia squad had evacuated the people of Flower Capital. The battle’s scale and ferocity had expanded significantly, making it impossible for even Varia’s elite members to intervene. Their leader’s indiscriminate attacks meant they’d likely be caught in the crossfire before even reaching the enemy, an infuriatingly humiliating prospect.
Xanxus was covered in numerous visible wounds, but Axe looked messy. After his weakness was discovered, he barely managed to escape Xanxus’s grasp several times, sustaining minor injuries.
From the ongoing battle, Axe seemed to have the upper hand. Xanxus had to expend significant energy countering Axe’s transitions between his soul and physical states, making it appear that Axe might eventually secure victory.
Additionally, Aim’s presence added to the pressure. If Aim snapped out of his daze, he could unfreeze Kaido. With himself, Aim, and an unleashed Kaido, they could defeat Xanxus, simultaneously freeing a powerful ally and dealing a severe blow to the Vongola Family by eliminating the leader of Varia.
However, the issue was…
When would that idiot Aim to snap out of his trance? It’s been over half an hour! How much longer will he remain dazed? And can’t he see I’m fighting with everything I’ve got?
At first, Axe underestimated Xanxus, but now he acknowledged the Varia leader’s formidable strength, which rivaled that of an admiral. Reflecting on this, he realized how terrifyingly powerful other Vongola members, like the six Guardians, the Arcobaleno, and external advisors, must be.
No wonder the Five Elders took the Vongola Family seriously, even contacting the Millefiore Family to counterbalance them. The Millefiore’s head, Byakuran, was someone Axe deemed incredibly powerful, even with his own Ghost Tiger abilities.
While Axe pondered this, the battle continued relentlessly. Xanxus didn’t hold back, continuously launching fierce attacks and repeatedly forcing Axe into his physical state.
Axe had considered staying in soul form until Xanxus wore out. Still, he realized Xanxus’s relentless attacks maintained their intensity as if these powerful moves were just regular attacks for him.
Indeed, his explosive Flames of Rage were his primary combat style for Xanxus, who didn’t rely on hidden trump cards like Primo or Decimo. His peak attacks were amplifying these flames, making them seem like routine moves.
After another fifteen minutes, Aim finally snapped out of his daze, looking around confusedly. “Huh? Axe, haven’t you finished him off yet?”
This nearly caused Axe to cough up blood in frustration. “Are you kidding me? After dazing for almost an hour, you say that? If you don’t want to unfreeze Kaido, at least help me take down Xanxus. If we fight for days and Vongola’s Guardians or Arcobaleno show up, we’ll have to flee or get stuck here forever.”
Axe wasn’t blind to the situation. He knew their mission would be doomed if other Vongola elites arrived, or worse, Primo himself.
Aim shrugged, “Fine, I’ll unfreeze Kaido. You talk big but can’t handle Varia’s leader. Maybe a newbie should take your spot.”
Despite his complaints, Aim moved towards Kaido’s ice sculpture, covering his hands in Armament Haki to break the ice. But just as he neared, a massive meteor descended, targeting Aim.
A calm voice echoed from above, “Glad I made it in time. If you freed Kaido, I’d be in big trouble. I also had to destroy my favorite warship to get here, Xanxus. Can Varia cover the cost if your funds allow?”
