Yasuo in Marvel - Chapter 12
Last night, Blade successfully destroyed a vampire hideout and gathered intel: fresh food in Manhattan’s Eighth Avenue!
Early in the morning, Blade drove his combat vehicle to Manhattan’s Eighth Avenue, searching for vampire nests during the day. A shop selling knives seemed suspicious. After all, who sells ancient weapons in modern times? The owner might be an ancient vampire!
When he saw the shop owner, a young Asian man, Blade realized he was wrong.
Yasuo recognized Blade’s outfit but couldn’t recall where he had seen it. The man turned, opened the door, and left without saying a word.
“mmmmp”
Did that guy have a screw loose? He just left after seeing me?
Yasuo spent the whole day idle, fantasizing about meeting a young woman and how he would act. Unfortunately, no one came, and the day passed in his imagination.
Night fell.
A dilapidated van stopped in front of Hathaway’s house across the street from Yasuo’s knife shop. Four burly white men carrying tools got out of the van.
Yasuo noticed everything. Anyone with half a brain wouldn’t think these men were up to any good. Yasuo debated whether to rescue Hank’s daughter, Hathaway. Avenging Hank had already exposed him to S.H.I.E.L.D., and as a twentieth-century stay-at-home man, a happy wanderer, he was naturally plagued by indecision and procrastination.
“Let me go! Where are you taking me? Damn it, help! Someone help me!” Hathaway struggled and screamed as two men carried her out of the house, but no one came to her aid.
Hearing Hathaway’s cries for help, Scarlet Moon Yasuo appeared!
Alright, Yasuo wouldn’t admit he was saving her because she was a blonde beauty. In all the novels and TV shows he had seen, when a hero saved a damsel in distress, the damsel would repay with herself. He had fantasized about this all day and saw this as an opportunity, a chance to break his single status!
“Let go of that girl! Let me… I mean, let go of that girl!” Yasuo struck a pose and shouted a line he thought was very cool.
The cold wind blew, and Yasuo watched the empty street and the van driving away. Because he hesitated, the van had already left.
Yasuo wasn’t discouraged. “Hmph!” I’m Yasuo, the man with Agile Steps, two-speed boots, and a static shiv. Yasuo sprinted after the van.
Neighbors witnessed a strange sight: a man in a red outfit chasing a van. Rumor had it he chased it for several blocks!
Yasuo felt bitter. He couldn’t afford driving lessons or a car. He always thought he was fast enough, but now he realized he could only reach sixty miles per hour, unable to catch even a crappy van. Thinking about Iron Man’s jet-like speed, he realized how weak he was.
After chasing for over half an hour and almost losing sight of the van, it stopped in front of a mansion.
Yasuo watched four men get out of the van, carrying four women and one child, all tied up and struggling violently.
Several men came out of the mansion, grabbing the captives like pieces of meat and taking them inside.
Yasuo took a deep breath, holding his sword as he approached the mansion entrance. He didn’t hide his presence; as Yasuo, he intended to show off!
Two men smoking at the entrance saw Yasuo approaching. “This is private property. If you come any closer, we’ll attack,” they warned, drawing their guns on Yasuo.
Yasuo suddenly accelerated, lunging at them like a leopard. In a blink, he was in front of them, performing a Steel Tempest strike.
“Ye ge dou!”
“Ye ge dou!”
“Ha sa gi!”
Yasuo shouted skill names and sound effects as he struck, defeating the two men with ease.
Entering the mansion, Yasuo quickly realized he had no idea where Hathaway was held. Damn rich people and their big houses. He got lost and had no choice but to venture further in, hoping to find someone who could lead him.
Inside, Deacon Frost sat, listening to reports from his three subordinates. This mansion, a noble’s residence, was now a temporary storage for captives. All the blood pigs (living humans) from Manhattan were gathered here.
Hearing about another base destroyed by the Daywalker, Frost angrily threw his glass. “Damn Daywalker! One day, I’ll kill him.”
As they conversed, none noticed a pair of eyes watching them.
Yasuo prepared to strike but heard an explosion outside. What was happening? He intended to be the hero, but someone else was stealing the show?
Hearing the explosion, Frost and two subordinates left the mansion, leaving one to head towards the noise with an elegant stride.
Yasuo followed silently.
The temporary structure, covering about a thousand square meters, was where Yasuo found the strange man from his shop earlier, fighting dozens of men with a katana. Each kill reduced the opponent to ashes.
Yasuo finally recognized him—Blade, the Daywalker, a famous vampire hunter in the Marvel universe!
Blade threw more grenades, causing explosions that attracted more vampires.
Yasuo decided it was time to act. The lovely blonde was waiting for him.
He flashed to Blade’s side, striking a pose and saying, “Death is like the wind, always by my side. I’ll give you a quick end!”
“Ha sa gi!”
EQ combo, auto-attack, auto-attack, EQ combo—Yasuo executed smooth moves, killing over a dozen vampires.
Blade noticed the new ally and warned, “Be careful, they’re vampires. Your attacks can’t kill them for good!”
Blade had just spoken when several vampires Yasuo had struck down attacked from the ground, biting Yasuo’s legs with sharp fangs.
Passive skill: Way of the Wanderer triggered, creating a shield to block the attack.
Startled, Yasuo was furious. He didn’t want to become a vampire unable to bask in the sunlight. Luckily, his passive shield saved him.
Furious, Yasuo unleashed his ultimate move. Gathering his energy, his sword emitted a whirlwind effect. A giant tornado struck the enemies, blowing them into the air. Yasuo’s figure vanished.
“Last Breath!”
Yasuo’s ultimate skill, usable only on airborne enemies, pulverized all surrounding foes. He gracefully landed before Blade, curious about his first encounter with a Marvel superhero.
