Yasuo in Marvel - Chapter 21
In the car, Yasuo asked Coulson, “Who was that Chad Nomak? Why didn’t you let me take him out?” Yasuo was still brooding over the missed opportunity to kill a potential gold coin-dropping minion. Although leaving minions or siege minions alive was a common occurrence in the League, finding one that dropped coins in the real world was incredibly rare. Yasuo was deeply resentful about the gold coins that slipped away.
“Chad Nomak is the only son of a vampire prince in the Vampire Empire. His father is a representative of the vampires who maintain good relations with the human government, cooperating on various projects. One of the most notable is the research on how to turn vampires back into regular humans. Moreover, Chad Nomak, being a playboy, has no history of killing or drinking from ordinary humans. He has always behaved well,” Coulson explained the internal situation of the vampires.
“You need to understand that a vampire like him can provide us with a lot of important information. Killing him isn’t a wise choice,” Coulson said in a lecturing tone.
Yasuo found Coulson’s lecturing tone annoying. If it weren’t for the fact that following Coulson could lead him to many vampires and thus many gold coins, Yasuo would have kicked him out of the car.
On the East Coast, Deacon Frost and Quinn saw the mercenaries’ speedboat approaching.
A few strong, fully armed foreign mercenaries, led by a man with a long scar across his face, handed a wooden box to Deacon Frost.
After inspecting the item, Deacon Frost was satisfied and signaled Quinn to give the money. The lead mercenary accepted two boxes of cash.
Just as the transaction was about to be completed, the roar of a car engine echoed along the quiet coastline.
The sudden noise made the mercenaries immediately alert, their guns pointed at the vampires.
Quinn, seeing the guns aimed at them, snarled and revealed his fangs, ready for a confrontation.
Deacon Frost waved his hand, calming his people down. “One million, deal with these intruders.”
The lead mercenary, seeing the unusual nature of the vampires, wasn’t too concerned. In this era, mutants were everywhere; a few monsters were no big deal. Did they think they could withstand bullets?
The mercenary leader raised three fingers. “Three million. Leave the money, and we’ll handle the trouble.”
Coulson, armed with intel, drove straight to the location, with no intention of observing from the shadows. He trusted in Yasuo and his own combat abilities. After parking, Coulson quickly assembled a sniper rifle from the trunk. “Hurry, don’t let them escape. I’ll cover you from a distance.”
Yasuo, already in his crimson moon outfit, was annoyed by Coulson’s words. This wasn’t the typical “you go first, I’ll be right behind” scenario.
“What did you say? You want me to face all those vampires and mercenaries alone? Are you kidding me?” Yasuo complained, but his feet didn’t stop. Even without Coulson’s prompt, he would have dealt with them. To Yasuo, those weren’t vampires; they were shining gold coins, vital for his ultimate skill combination.
“Watch out!” Coulson warned as he saw something approaching Yasuo, running away himself.
Yasuo saw it too and was startled. “Damn, the Marvel universe is chaotic.” An RPG was heading his way.
He wasn’t sure if his Wind Wall (W) could block an RPG.
“Face the wind!”
The invisible wind wall appeared, and Yasuo felt relieved. The system’s creation was reliable; it could indeed block all projectiles. The RPG exploded upon contact with the wind wall, the blast absorbed entirely. Yasuo even had time to strike a pose, wondering if this could block a nuclear bomb.
Coulson couldn’t believe his eyes. Yasuo, whom he thought of as a “sword hero,” had somehow withstood an RPG attack unscathed. From his angle, Coulson couldn’t see the wind wall, thinking Yasuo had tanked the hit. Then he saw a red figure moving at an inhuman speed, closing the distance in a few breaths.
The mercenaries, having received their payment, responded with an RPG when the car approached. As the explosion echoed, they saw a red figure speeding towards them.
The mercenary leader barked orders, and over a dozen mercenaries raised their weapons to fire at Yasuo.
Coulson, seeing this from a distance, thought, “This is bad.” He hadn’t expected such heavy firepower. He glanced at Yasuo, thinking, “This isn’t my fault,” and knew he had to find a way to help Yasuo.
Facing the armed mercenaries, Yasuo felt no threat. He wasn’t afraid of these potential minions, not even small fry.
Summoner skill Flash activated!
Yasuo vanished from sight, reappearing among the mercenaries.
“Careful, he’s a mutant! His power is related to speed,” the mercenary leader shouted.
“Ah!”
“He’s here!” a mercenary shouted, feeling his face heat up. Two comrades’ heads flew off, blood spraying from their necks. A red-clad, masked figure stood before him, a bloodied katana in hand.
The mercenaries, despite their battlefield experience, were stunned by Yasuo’s eerie appearance. Even seasoned warriors were momentarily shocked by Yasuo’s sudden and brutal attack.
“Kill him! Shoot!”
Guns roared again.
Yasuo, never having seen such a scene outside Hollywood action movies, shouted back, “Hey, guys! Do you always shoot first and ask questions later?”
After killing two, Yasuo realized they weren’t vampires and lost interest. Without the promise of gold coins, he didn’t want to kill ordinary people. “I’m sorry,” he muttered, re-entering combat mode. Using Wind Wall to block the bullets, he advanced with Steel Tempest (Q) and Sweeping Blade (E).
“EQ combo, auto-attack, EQ combo,” he narrated, an odd quirk that helped his focus.
In just thirty seconds, Yasuo had cut down ten well-trained mercenaries. Only the scarred leader remained.
The scarred man, seeing Yasuo’s speed, didn’t flee. Dropping his gun, he stripped off his shirt, revealing a scarred, muscular torso.
