Yasuo in Marvel - Chapter 22
Dean was originally a US soldier, blown in half by terrorists while on a mission in the Middle East. In his final moments, William Stryker recruited him into a top-secret program.
With no hope for life, Dean seized his last chance, pledging allegiance to General William Stryker. He was then taken to a special laboratory, becoming an experimental subject. In that dark, oppressive lab, he was given a new life, but it brought no hope.
There, they performed DNA recombination on him, implanting artificial X-genes, altering his biological characteristics and turning him into a grotesque monster. He gained superhuman strength and regenerative abilities but became a monster when using the X-genes.
Since then, he became a mercenary for the lab, traveling the world to capture experimental subjects. He took the vampire mission for some easy extra money, but unexpectedly encountered trouble during delivery—a damned mutant attacked his comrades. Now, he was furious and ready to devour his opponent.
Yasuo saw the last mercenary facing him and discarding his weapon, stripping off his shirt. “If you think I’m a pervert and want to seduce me with your body, I must say, sorry,” Yasuo thought.
But it was clearly different from what Yasuo imagined. The man’s scarred muscles started to split, black scales growing along the scars, his teeth sharpened and shortened, and his mouth protruded.
“Bang!” A sniper shot from Coulson hit the man’s head.
Yasuo saw the man transforming and was about to comment on how enemies never give you time to transform. Then he heard a roar. “Demacia 98K blows your head off, and you still won’t die? You must be hacking!”
A hideous crocodile-like monster appeared before Yasuo. Although Yasuo was mentally prepared to encounter various monsters in the Marvel universe, seeing a real one still shocked him.
“Yasuo, prepare to retreat. He’s a mutant. There’s no need to fight him head-on. The mission is canceled; please withdraw,” Coulson’s voice came through the earpiece.
Mutant! Hearing those words, Yasuo got excited. This was his first encounter with a mutant. As a happy wind man who always picks Yasuo, he wouldn’t choose to retreat. A strong opponent made him excited. He hoped the mutant would make him go all out and experience the thrill of fighting a six-god Garen.
Lost in his thoughts, Yasuo was suddenly attacked by a stinking giant mouth. Yasuo’s essence was speed; as long as he was fast enough, all attacks were futile.
A quick sidestep avoided the giant mouth. Yasuo swung his sword, Steel Tempest (Q), auto-attack, Steel Tempest (Q), a perfect three-hit combo.
He cut off a third of the opponent’s torso, organs spilling out with black blood.
“Oh my god, you actually took him down? That mutant?” Coulson’s voice came through, clearly observing the battle from some hidden spot.
“No, I don’t think I’ve finished him,” Yasuo calmly stated.
Indeed, the crocodile mutant, missing a third of his waist, lay on the ground, regenerating at a visible rate, fully healed in seconds.
This was Yasuo holding back. He wanted to gauge a regular mutant’s strength to understand his own capabilities.
Dean, feeling the massive injury to his waist, couldn’t stand but healed quickly. Rising again, he no longer underestimated the red-clad freak. The opponent’s ghostly speed unnerved him. Escape was unrealistic; he couldn’t outrun him.
Yasuo used Sweeping Blade (E), leaving an afterimage, closing the distance in a blink. The mutant’s massive arms, thicker than Yasuo’s thighs, smashed into the concrete, creating deep craters and cracks.
“Wow, your strength is impressive. If you hit me head-on, I wouldn’t fare well,” Yasuo taunted, noticing the mutant’s speed was slow, easily dodged. Yasuo found it boring; he expected mutants to have big moves or potential, but relentless pressure didn’t work. Maybe this was just the weakest mutant, Yasuo thought, feeling lonely, craving a challenging, blood-pumping battle, a fair fight.
While Yasuo was lost in thought, Dean saw his chance, launching a perfect, speed-boosted, fatal attack. He believed this textbook move would fell a powerful foe.
The massive crocodile mouth extended, aiming to bite Yasuo in half, planning to consume his corpse.
A huge force knocked Yasuo aside. Seeing Coulson, Yasuo thought, “Damn, wasn’t he observing from a distance? How did he get here?”
Dean’s fatal strike was interrupted by a sudden appearance. Seeing the white man he bit down on, Dean thought, “Stupid enough to save that freak with his life.”
The crocodile mouth clamped down, feeling a hardness that threatened to shatter Dean’s teeth.
Yasuo activated Flash, followed by his passive shield, blocking the mutant’s attack.
The freak was back in a fraction of a second, saving the white man. “Damn freaks, saving each other with their lives. Am I going to die to a pervert today?”
This was Dean’s last thought. Yasuo’s sword pierced his mouth, stabbing into his brain. Steel Tempest (Q) triggered a critical hit, exploding Dean’s crocodile head. Blood and flesh splattered over Yasuo, but thankfully, his outfit would be clean and new each time.
