Yasuo in Marvel - Chapter 26
In the dim passageway, faint yellow oil lamps flickered on either side, casting an ambiance reminiscent of the medieval era.
Yasuo led the way, walking down with a casual air, while Coulson followed behind cautiously. As an experienced agent, Coulson never let his guard down, always ready for traps or guards in such a narrow and winding path.
Yasuo wanted Coulson to relax a bit, given that he knew the unfolding storyline. All they needed to do was find Pearl, the vampire record keeper, and extract information. Yasuo’s role was to deal with any bosses and enjoy his status as a joyful wind man.
After about five minutes, the narrow passage showed signs of an exit. Coulson felt a slight relief, as the tight, winding path had kept him on edge.
“Oh, what the hell is that smell!” Yasuo exclaimed, wrinkling his nose as they entered the next section of the passage.
Coulson also covered his nose, silently agreeing that this was the most disgusting smell he had encountered in his career.
“Look carefully, Deacon Frost. You need twelve pureblood vampires,” came a faint voice from ahead.
Yasuo and Coulson moved towards the source of the voice, their footsteps alerting the speaker.
“Is it the delivery?” the voice inquired.
Yasuo saw a bed laden with electronic equipment and a massive blob of fat sprawled across it. Despite mentally preparing himself, seeing the actual Pearl, the vampire record keeper, was nauseating. A mountain of disgusting fat lay heaped on the bed, with a bald head indicating she was a female vampire. Adding to the horror, Pearl emitted a few intentional farts, making the scene unbearable.
“Gagging… gagging…” Yasuo couldn’t help but retch at the sight, wanting to end Pearl’s life right then and there.
Coulson, maintaining his professional demeanor, merely frowned, showing his discomfort.
“Help, help! The red-clad pervert is here!” Pearl screamed for help. Coulson noticed she was video-calling someone.
Coulson flipped the laptop to see Deacon Frost on the other end.
“You must be Pearl, the record keeper,” Coulson said, addressing her.
Hearing Coulson, Pearl screamed for help, “Help me, help me! They’ll kill me! I’m still useful to you, Deacon Frost, save me!”
Deacon Frost’s voice came through the laptop, “Pearl, you’re finished. At least die with some dignity.”
“Damn vampire, cursed vampire,” Pearl began cursing Deacon Frost, realizing he had abandoned her.
Yasuo took the laptop and spoke to Deacon Frost.
Deacon Frost, seeing Yasuo on the screen, simply said, “Hello, red-clad pervert!” and ended the call.
Yasuo’s mind was filled with a barrage of the words “red-clad pervert” flashing repeatedly, infuriating him. He took out the prepared ultraviolet light.
“What’s that?” Pearl asked curiously.
“Fat pig, this is an ultraviolet light, just for you. I’m sure you’ll love it!” Yasuo said with malicious delight.
“We’re going to play a little Q&A game. If your answers satisfy me, I might consider sparing you,” Coulson said, taking over the interrogation. “But if you don’t cooperate, I’ll make sure you get a tan before you go.”
Coulson pointed to a computer screen displaying twelve virtual images. “Tell me, what is this?”
“Ah, it’s nothing, just some routine research. It’s actually just an ordinary electronic game. I get so bored here,” Pearl replied, attempting to downplay the question.
Unconvinced, Coulson switched on the ultraviolet light, aiming it at Pearl’s obese body.
White smoke and sizzling sounds filled the air as Pearl’s skin began to burn.
“Ah, ah… stop, stop, please stop,” Pearl screamed, her face and neck turning black, her cries filled with agony.
Yasuo watched Pearl’s skin blister and ooze with a mixture of fat and blood, feeling even more disgusted. Coulson, usually calm and friendly, revealed a ruthless side, showcasing his skills as a top S.H.I.E.L.D. agent.
“Not a pleasant experience, right? Ready to talk now?” Coulson asked, maintaining his composure.
Still screaming, Pearl flailed her short arms, “It’s a prophecy, a fragment of a prophecy.”
“A prophecy? What kind of prophecy?” Coulson pressed for more details.
“I’m not sure, I really don’t know. There are too many kinds of prophecies!” Pearl continued to scream.
Even Yasuo, an outsider, could tell Pearl was lying. An experienced agent like Coulson wouldn’t be fooled.
Coulson silently turned the ultraviolet light back on, bathing Pearl in its deadly rays once more.
“Ah, ah…” Pearl’s screams echoed again.
When Pearl’s face and upper body were covered in bloody blisters, she finally spoke, “It’s the prophecy of the Blood God. The Blood God is coming, and the Twelve Kings will awaken the Blood God.”
Coulson stopped the ultraviolet light, and Pearl sighed with relief. “There’s nothing you can do. The Daywalker, the twelve pureblood vampires, all the key elements are in place. The Blood God’s arrival is unstoppable. You can’t do anything.”
“Oh, really? Are you warning me?” Yasuo drew his sword and held it before Pearl.
Pearl, seeing the sword, spoke in a more friendly tone, “At least, that’s what Deacon Frost says.”
Coulson professionally detached the computer’s storage device, “You won’t mind if I take this, right? And if you move an inch, I’ll roast you.”
Coulson moved aside to work with the storage device, skillfully using small tools to retrieve the data.
After finishing, Coulson inspected the room, tapping on a wall and asking, “What’s behind here?”
“Nothing, just a storage room. Don’t waste your time; there’s nothing important there,” Pearl replied, clearly nervous.
Yasuo felt like commenting on Pearl’s poor lying skills, considering she was a centuries-old vampire record keeper.
Coulson attached a small bomb to the wall, not trusting Pearl’s words, and prepared to see for himself.
Seeing the bomb, Pearl screamed, “No… don’t.”
Unable to tolerate Pearl any longer, Yasuo stabbed her in the head with his sword. To his dismay, the blow triggered a critical hit, causing Pearl to explode like a balloon, spraying fat and grease everywhere, doubling the disgust.
“Gagging!” Yasuo vowed to stay far away from anything so revolting in the future.
“Gold coins +157.”
Surprisingly, the system considered Pearl equivalent to a large monster.
