Yasuo in Marvel - Chapter 31
“Cross-dresser? I feel something’s not right. Have you noticed anything?” Karen seemed to be fixated on giving Yasuo a new nickname.
Just then, Coulson rushed up from downstairs, seeing Yasuo and the others, and asked, “What’s going on? The situation outside is strange. The sky over New York has turned eerily red. Does it have anything to do with what’s happening here?”
Yasuo also realized something was wrong. He checked the system and found no new gold coins had been added, indicating that Deacon Frost wasn’t dead yet.
Blade, trying to restore his cool, picked up his sunglasses from the ground and reassured everyone, saying, “Don’t be afraid. I’m here.”
The clear sound of dripping water drew everyone’s attention. They turned to see blood dripping from a stone, seemingly from Deacon Frost’s explosion earlier.
Yasuo swallowed hard and whispered, “Be careful!”
Drawing from his previous life’s web novels, Yasuo recognized the signs of a big boss’s resurrection. Could the Blood God in the Marvel Universe really be capable of resurrection from a drop of blood? How were they supposed to fight this?
Blade, sensitive to the scent of blood, said, “This aura… it’s Deacon Frost.”
They saw a small puddle of blood forming into a humanoid shape. The blood on the platform seemed to be under his control, shooting towards Yasuo and the others like bullets.
“This…!” Hathaway, a regular high school student, was clearly frightened by the bizarre scene.
“Face the wind!”
Yasuo stepped in with a wind wall to block the attack.
“This feeling is amazing!” Deacon Frost reveled in his rebirth from the blood.
“Coulson, take the girls and run. Don’t look back, I’ll hold him off.” Deacon Frost gave Yasuo a sense of facing a fully equipped vampire.
Blade didn’t waste time talking. He flipped several times, circus-like, to land in front of Deacon Frost and swung his titanium sword, cutting Deacon Frost in half at the waist. But Yasuo noticed that Deacon Frost’s body was held together by a gooey blood substance and didn’t fully separate.
Yasuo’s guess was right. In a second, Deacon Frost’s body reformed. After Blade’s attack, Deacon Frost seemed extremely excited, grabbing Blade’s neck with one hand and tasting the blood on Blade’s face with his other hand.
Seeing Blade captured again, Yasuo used his summoner skill, Flash. Still immersed in the taste of blood, Deacon Frost didn’t notice Yasuo. Yasuo flashed over, executed a double Q (Steel Tempest), and chopped off Deacon Frost’s thick arm, leaving a special energy in the wound that prevented it from healing quickly, thus saving Blade.
“You all will be my first minions in conquering the world. Thank you for showing me the true power of the Blood God. This feeling is fantastic!” Deacon Frost was completely immersed in his newfound power.
“Be your minion? No thanks, I’d rather kill you,” Yasuo said coldly.
Blade, after being rescued by Yasuo, regained his composure and focused on Deacon Frost.
“Oh, I’ll go enjoy a feast first, then come back for you two as dessert,” Deacon Frost transformed into a sea of blood and chased after Coulson and the others.
Trying to outrun Yasuo was a mistake. Yasuo, the Joyful Wind Man, feared no one in terms of speed!
Within two breaths, Yasuo overtook Deacon Frost, stood calmly at the tunnel entrance, and attacked with a sweeping blade, sending a whirlwind that hit the blood sea form of Deacon Frost, lifting him into the air. Yasuo then activated his R skill, Last Breath, and unleashed a flurry of slashes, reducing Deacon Frost’s blood form to tiny droplets.
After landing, Yasuo’s ultimate gave him a 15-second boost in critical strike and penetration. He continued to attack the scattered blood on the ground, turning it into smaller droplets.
A dazzling chain of attacks left Blade dumbfounded.
The blood on the ground gradually reformed into Deacon Frost. This time, Yasuo’s attack had clearly hurt him. Tiny blood vessels like worms emerged on his face and arms, slowly healing his wounds. He looked at Yasuo with a newfound seriousness, devoid of earlier nonchalance.
Seeing that his ultimate didn’t have a significant effect on Deacon Frost, Yasuo felt a wave of frustration.
In the movie, Blade took down Deacon Frost in a few rounds. Why was he so tough now?
Because of Yasuo’s appearance, Blade was captured earlier, and Karen didn’t develop the vaccine. Facing Deacon Frost, who could seemingly resurrect from a drop of blood, Yasuo felt like a dog biting a hedgehog. Yasuo believed he could maintain an advantage with his speed, but Deacon Frost’s unbeatable regenerative power left him helpless.
Deacon Frost took a step forward, then transformed into a sea of blood and lunged at Yasuo.
Yasuo easily dodged Deacon Frost’s attack and countered with a Q skill (Steel Tempest), slicing off another chunk of the blood sea.
Failing to hit Yasuo, Deacon Frost reverted to human form and lost an arm again under Yasuo’s attack.
After dozens of exchanges, both stood still, panting.
“Seems I underestimated you. I’m not yet fully acquainted with the Blood God’s power. Once I am, you’ll be the first mutant I kill,” Deacon Frost said, shaking his head as he looked at his severed hands.
He realized the red-clad man was not only incredibly fast but also had a disappearing skill and an ability to pass through his body. Every time he attacked Yasuo, he ended up at a disadvantage. However, his advantage was clear too—no matter what injury he sustained, he could instantly recover without any side effects, leaving Yasuo with no way to counter his regeneration.
Seeing Deacon Frost standing still, no longer attacking, Yasuo quickly checked the system store. The current situation felt like facing a fully armored Dr. Mundo from LOL, who could heal any damage Yasuo dealt.
If you ask an LOL player how to deal with Dr. Mundo, they’d say Ignite and Mortal Reminder.
Yasuo had a short sword and spent 450 gold to synthesize Mortal Reminder, which had the unique passive of reducing healing effects by half with physical damage.
Equipping the new item, Yasuo, the Joyful Wind Man, prepared for the second half of the battle!
