Yasuo in Marvel - Chapter 35
###
“Have you seen these creatures before?” Sharon Carter noticed that Yasuo seemed very interested in the monsters that had attacked her and initiated a conversation with him.
“A type of special vampire, stronger and more bloodthirsty than ordinary vampires, very dangerous!” Yasuo, happy to show off, eagerly answered when a beautiful woman asked him a question.
At this moment, Yasuo hadn’t realized that the woman before him was the renowned ninth-level agent Sharon Carter, the would-be girlfriend of Captain America in the movies.
After chatting for a while, Sharon Carter received a call from Nick Fury, inquiring whether the Rapid Response Special Forces had arrived. Upon learning they hadn’t, Nick Fury delivered some shocking news: the Special Forces had lost contact three minutes ago, the most elite unit in S.H.I.E.L.D. was missing.
According to the estimated route, they pinpointed the location of the lost team. Despite her injuries, Sharon Carter insisted on taking Yasuo along, commandeering a rookie agent’s car for the mission.
In fact, even if Sharon Carter hadn’t insisted, Yasuo was planning to find an excuse to tag along. After all, ready-made monsters were hard to come by, and in Yasuo’s eyes, they were a bounty of gold coins.
After a twenty-minute drive, the trio entered the tunnel. As soon as they entered, Yasuo smelled a strong, pungent odor in the air, making him want to sneeze. In the middle of the tunnel, they saw a massive container blocking the way, with various noises and growls coming from the other side.
Ignoring the surprised looks of the others, Yasuo immediately unleashed a fully charged Dragon Strike. The container was split in two, and many ‘Reapers’ were blown into the air. Yasuo then used his ultimate skill (Last Breath), slicing the airborne ‘Reapers’ into pieces. Normally, only UV light could effectively kill ‘Reapers,’ but under Yasuo’s powerful ultimate skill, they were as fragile as paper.
Moving like a red flash among the enemies, Yasuo used his E skill (Sweeping Blade) to advance rapidly. Each attack effectively killed a target. Feeling the wind’s speed around him, Yasuo only wanted to move faster. The crimson figure moved so quickly that it was hard to see with the naked eye (like the Flash from the other universe).
Crossbones watched in astonishment as the powerful creatures were slaughtered by the red-clad eccentric. Was he mistaken, or was he too weak? This seemingly insignificant figure beside Coulson turned out to be so powerful.
Sharon Carter was equally shocked by Yasuo’s strength. Growing up hearing stories of Captain America from her aunt, Sharon swore she had never heard of anyone as powerful as Yasuo. Even with the Super Soldier Serum, Captain America couldn’t achieve such feats.
In less than five minutes, Yasuo had cleared out all the ‘Reapers.’ He realized he was particularly adept at dealing with large groups of enemies. The E skill (Sweeping Blade) was perfect for cutting through masses of foes, making him feel like a wolf among sheep. In the League of Legends, a fully equipped Yasuo who couldn’t handle a few hundred minions wouldn’t deserve his place.
After the battle, Yasuo, having earned several thousand gold coins, happily took a moment to survey the scene.
The area was littered with ‘Reaper’ remains, but there were no human bodies. Seeing Crossbones didn’t surprise Yasuo too much. After all, he was a well-known enemy; it would be unusual for him to die so easily. A solitary car was parked near the split container, with only a few bloodstains inside, indicating that the unlucky assault team members had become ‘Reaper’ food.
Sharon Carter and the rookie agent were relieved to find Crossbones alive, feeling their trip was worthwhile, as they had successfully rescued Crossbones and protected the crucial 43rd item (the Book of the Dead).
From a distance, Chthonoma watched everything unfold. He had planned to let the ‘Reapers’ clear the area first. Their lifespan was only about 40 minutes, after which he would retrieve the Book of the Dead. But his perfect plan was foiled by the red-clad eccentric. Frustrated, Chthonoma chose to retreat, frightened by the red-clad eccentric’s terrifying strength.
Sharon Carter, equipped with an emergency satellite phone, handed it to Crossbones. Nick Fury, eager for updates, asked, “Report the current situation, soldier.”
Crossbones, hearing Fury’s voice, breathed a sigh of relief. “Brock Rumlow, codename: Crossbones, reporting. We were ambushed on our way to support Agent 13, Sharon Carter. The attackers were a type of bio-engineered creature, bloodthirsty, impervious to pain, cannibalistic, similar to movie zombies but stronger and faster. Even large-caliber bullets couldn’t kill them. There were over a hundred enemies. I’m the only survivor; the rest of the team is dead.” Crossbones’ voice grew heavy as he reported the deaths of his teammates, the elite members of Hydra.
“Only you survived?” Nick Fury found it hard to believe. The Rapid Response Unit was his elite force, equipped with top-tier weapons and heavy firepower. The nine-member team had completed countless impossible missions, and Crossbones was among the top five in S.H.I.E.L.D. But this battle left only him standing.
After Crossbones finished his report, Sharon Carter took the phone. “Yes, Director. The creatures that attacked the Rapid Response Unit are the same as those I encountered at the NYPD Commissioner’s house. It’s clear that an organization is secretly breeding these monsters. The red-clad eccentric provided some information, identifying these creatures as ‘Reapers,’ a type of mutated vampire, though they lack intelligence and can’t be controlled.”
After Sharon Carter’s report, Yasuo grabbed the phone. “Hey, are you Coulson’s boss? Yeah, I’m the guy who just saved the world. Don’t forget my payment. And for this rescue mission, I want extra pay. Good, good. Make sure to transfer it to my account tomorrow. If you have more problems you can’t solve, feel free to contact me. And can you help me run an ad on TV? Not for selling knives, but to announce that I’m the Swift Sword Master, not the red-clad eccentric. Hello? Are you listening?”
On the other end, Nick Fury, hearing Yasuo’s incessant chatter, decisively hung up the phone.
