Yasuo in Marvel - Chapter 41
###
Just moments ago, Yasuo, sitting in Stephen’s car, heard distant gunshots. He instructed the rookie agent to wait for him and got out of the car, changing into his Crimson Moon skin before using his summoner skill “Flash.” Due to distance constraints, the first flash only brought him to where the enemy vehicles were parked.
Seeing that the enemies were about to storm the room and realizing that he couldn’t save them in time, Yasuo resorted to a desperate measure. He used his Q skill (Steel Tempest) to strike the car’s fuel tank, followed by W skill (Wind Wall) to block the explosion’s damage. The explosion successfully diverted the enemy’s attention.
Experiencing the thrill of slicing a car was immensely satisfying for Yasuo. He decided to enjoy the moment and tried the combo again: Q skill (Steel Tempest) to pierce the fuel tank, but the explosion didn’t happen as expected. Frustrated, he withdrew his sword and kicked the car in frustration. The car, forming a perfect arc, flew into the air and landed back down, crushing four men beneath it.
Hearing the footsteps of nearly ten enemies preparing to storm the building, Yasuo smiled, knowing that if he used his E skill (Sweeping Blade) quickly enough, neither wind nor enemy would catch him. It was all about the thrill!
Yasuo started a frenzy of E skill (Sweeping Blade) moves, slicing through one enemy after another. Wherever his E skill touched, nothing survived. At the back door, four men stood guard, their faces alert. Yasuo appeared behind them, delivering a swift blow with his enchanted sword, triggering an electric effect. The electricity coursed through them, and four charred bodies fell silently to the ground.
Mid-frenzy, Yasuo realized he should leave someone alive. Oak, who had been fortunate enough to be spared, was the chosen survivor.
In less than a minute, about twenty enemies were perfectly dealt with. Yasuo carried his only prisoner and contacted Stephen, who was not far away.
Seeing the car blocking the front door and the scattered remains of the enemies, Yasuo kicked the wall twice. “Bang, bang!” A hole large enough for a person to crawl through appeared.
He tossed the prisoner through the hole first, then followed, bending down to enter the building.
Surveying the room, Yasuo saw it was in disarray, showing no signs of habitation. Bullet holes and wood fragments were everywhere. Sharon Carter, the person he came to save, was sitting in a corner.
“Looks like you need some help,” Yasuo quipped.
“I didn’t expect you to be the one sent to help me,” Sharon Carter responded, somewhat surprised. She recognized the red outfit. Unlike the rookie Stephen, she knew Yasuo wasn’t part of S.H.I.E.L.D. and didn’t trust him with sensitive information.
“This is the one I left alive. I hope he’s useful,” Yasuo said, pointing to the man on the ground.
“Your exact mission? Can you share it?” As a professional agent, Sharon Carter needed to know if Yasuo’s mission was to extract her or to help with her investigation.
Embarrassed, Yasuo scratched his head, “Uh, my mission is to….” He couldn’t remember. When taking the mission, all he heard was “reward” and “fight,” and accepted without hesitation.
Seeing Yasuo’s confusion, Sharon Carter realized he had forgotten his mission. He had stumbled into the chaos of Sokovia without a clear plan. Her intelligence, crucial to understanding the Third Reich and Hydra, couldn’t be handed over lightly.
Stephen parked the car and entered through the hole Yasuo made, exclaiming, “Hey! That was amazing! I saw you kick a jeep and take out four guys!”
With the rookie present, Yasuo saw an opportunity. He coughed and said, “Stephen, brief our beautiful agent on our mission.”
Stephen turned serious upon seeing Sharon Carter, “Our mission is to support you. I was tasked with leading Yasuo to you. He will assist you with the Sokovia investigation. I will return to the airport to handle logistics.”
Yasuo noticed something odd about Sharon Carter. The immediate danger was over, so why was she still sitting?
Sharon Carter, her expression grave, assessed Yasuo and Stephen. She knew her condition was worsening. The S.H.I.E.L.D. anti-virus serum hadn’t worked. She was too weak to stand and doubted she’d make it back to the States. Her priority was ensuring her information reached S.H.I.E.L.D.
“You seem unwell,” Yasuo said, noting her condition.
“Yes, I’m infected with an unknown virus that’s eating away at my body. I might not make it back to America,” Sharon Carter stated calmly, facing her impending death.
Stephen, the rookie, panicked upon hearing her condition. Lacking experience, he clumsily pulled out an injector to administer a serum.
“It’s useless. The second-generation serum has no effect on this virus. I can’t stand. Can I trust you?” Sharon Carter voiced her most crucial concern. Could she trust them with her vital information? She knew she had no one else to rely on but still needed to ask.
Yasuo, having lived two lives, understood her hesitation. She had critical information she wasn’t sure about handing over to them.
Stephen was about to say something when Yasuo interrupted, “You don’t need to trust us. Just get back to S.H.I.E.L.D. safely. Where did you get infected? I’ll make them hand over the antidote!”
In that moment, Yasuo’s confidence shone like a beacon, radiating warmth and hope. Sharon Carter saw a glimmer of dawn in his determination.
