Yasuo in Marvel - Chapter 42
###
Sharon Carter felt she must be insane, allowing Yasuo to carry her to Stephen’s car. Yasuo, holding Sharon, was feeling quite thrilled as it was his first time being so close to a woman.
Stephen abandoned his original task, following Yasuo’s instructions. He took on the role of driver while Sharon directed the route, and the three of them headed towards the enemy base to find the antidote.
In the car, Sharon lay weakly on the backseat, barely able to speak. She struggled to keep her eyes open, using her hand to guide Stephen.
“Wait, what’s the plan? What do you need me to do?” Stephen asked as he drove, eager and ready for action.
Yasuo could see that the rookie agent was itching for a fight. Perhaps it was his first real mission facing the enemy head-on, and the young man’s blood was boiling with excitement.
“You will stay with Carter and watch over her from a distance. I will handle the assault on the enemy base. I will enter through the front and keep pushing until I find the antidote, then I’ll come back to you,” Yasuo poured cold water over Stephen’s excitement, preferring the rookie to stay behind and let the experienced Yasuo handle the combat.
Yasuo had checked his system after getting into the car. The twenty-plus enemies he had just defeated had provided him with gold coin rewards. Although they were the equivalent of minions, it was better than nothing, especially since he hadn’t earned any gold in two months.
Hydra’s soldiers were well-trained professionals, much stronger than ordinary street thugs. Yasuo hoped for more enemies. The more enemies, the faster he could use his E skill (Sweeping Blade). The faster he was, the happier he felt!
Hearing Yasuo’s plan, Sharon Carter thought she must be crazy to listen to the red-clad maniac. Although she had witnessed Yasuo single-handedly defeat hundreds of Reapers, this time the enemies weren’t mindless beasts but a well-armed, disciplined Hydra organization. Yasuo’s plan to storm the base alone was sheer madness. She had to stop him from getting himself killed.
“Stop, Stephen, turn around. I appreciate your willingness to get the antidote for me, but I don’t believe you can break through alone. That base has a comprehensive defense system with at least a thousand armed men. I admit you’re strong, perhaps even stronger than Captain America, but I don’t want you to sacrifice yourself pointlessly,” Sharon sincerely expressed her concerns.
Yasuo noticed Sharon’s difficulty in speaking, taking several breaths between words. He signaled Stephen to keep driving and turned to Sharon with a serious look.
“You know nothing of power,” Yasuo declared with confidence, quoting the iconic line from Illidan Stormrage in World of Warcraft, feeling satisfied with his dramatic delivery.
Stephen, hearing the line, was starstruck, his eyes sparkling with admiration, almost crossing the line into fanaticism.
Sharon Carter, touched by Yasuo’s extended performance, fell silent, contemplating his words. Was he doing this for her? Or was he just always saving everyone?
Choosing to trust him, Sharon quietly directed the route.
Yasuo closed his eyes, mentally counting: one enemy, 17 gold coins; two enemies, 34 gold coins; 100 enemies, 1,700 gold coins; a thousand enemies, an astronomical sum! Initially, he just wanted to save Sharon Carter, but now he realized this mission could yield a fortune in gold coins.
There was no turning back. Yasuo resolved to destroy the enemy base, leaving no gold-yielding enemy alive. The more enemies, the faster his E (Sweeping Blade), and nothing could catch him.
When the trio arrived at the mountain base, Yasuo used S.H.I.E.L.D.’s high-power binoculars to survey the fortress. A massive structure nestled in the mountains, with armed guards patrolling and searchlights sweeping the area. A helicopter was taking off, likely on a mission.
Yasuo planned to have some fun tonight. Under the full moon, his Crimson Moon skin granted him a 100% speed boost, making him feel invincible. Everything was ready; it was time for the Happy Wind Man to shine.
Handing the binoculars to Sharon, Yasuo smiled before disappearing from sight, impressing Sharon and Stephen with his sudden departure.
Sharon, propping herself up, asked Stephen to hold the binoculars so she could witness Yasuo’s actions.
Yasuo used Flash to vanish from their view. This move was partly to impress Sharon. After flashing a short distance, he sprinted towards the enemy base, relishing the wind against his face. With his speed boost, he felt faster than ever, almost beyond human comprehension.
Four Hydra guards were on gate duty, an extremely dull task due to the base’s heavy defenses. The guards were dozing off, their eyes drooping.
“Aren’t you afraid of me?” Yasuo, in his red glow, appeared before one of the dozing guards, whispering menacingly.
The guard jolted awake, instinctively raising his gun. Before he could issue a warning, he saw his back and body fall to the ground, everything happening too fast to comprehend.
“Thud!” The sound of the body hitting the ground alarmed the other three guards. They turned towards the noise just in time to see a red blur pass through them.
Three more bodies fell, blood pooling to form a small pit.
